We collected Barbara and Pete from their B&B this morning and took them up to the lovely Saliente (now you have a second opinion Jane, if you need one). Even though we have had a windy night and it was windy at Saliente it was still magnificent. After we had marvelled at the outside and inside of the church we sat and had a coffee in the restaurant. We drove down back to the caravan, cross rambla and country, so that B&P could take some more pictures of the house before their departure. Lastly we said our good-buys to them at El Rancho over a drink. We wish them a safe return to Torrevieja and then to Taunton next week. We look forward to seeing them once more in June together perhaps with Norm and Jackie from Canada.
The wind is still boisterous this afternoon.
The builders have turned in despite it being a bank holiday again here in Spain (BTW happy St Patrick’s day to any Irish blog viewer). The rejas were put on the back of Dario’s pick up lorry this afternoon so one has to suppose that they have been made to the wrong size. We saw that the builders have marked out one window for the rejas and started to drill one hole to em-plant the reja. This happened a couple of days back but we then saw no further progress on that job. We therefore think that our supposition could be right. We are also told that the staircase railings, which match the rejas, together with the lounge and kitchen door rejas will be delivered tomorrow. Watch this space.
