We signed up for Spanish NHS OK yesterday and played tennis with Mags in the sun.
When we left Mags the wind was getting up and we had another bad night.
It’s now 12 noon, the sun is shining and we are daring to hope that the wind is at last abating a little.
The builders have blocked all the doors up and are working inside out of the wind. We noticed that the balustrades have been delivered and are up on the roof and just now Jose arrived with some very heavy items that we presume are the marble window sills. The revised stair case has the initial cement on and when the wind dies they will put the extra steps and wider landing on that I drew for them. Evidently the architect came up yesterday, but we were out. He must have approved my design because they have not knocked it down again yet.
We have just had a phone call from Jane in Australia, her and Nathan are very excited about getting married in September. They will marry in Tamworth, Australia first and then go to England and then to Spain. My cousin Barbara has also just rang to see how we got on in last nights gales, bless her. They are in their house up in Torrevieja. We will be seeing them in a couple of weeks which is always a pleasure.
