Strewth it’s Friday again. What a week of high and low emotions. From wet through and rather worried and fed up to today where we have been basking in eighteen degrees of lovely energy giving sunshine all day. Sunrise is now about seven thirty in the morning and sunset is exactly at six o’clock in the evening. We were able to sit outside (with a drink) and watch the sun go down over the distant mountains. As soon as the sun disappeared it started to get chilly very quick so we only stayed out until about quarter past six. We then battened down the hatches to retain the caravan heat of the day. Quite a simple rustic life of survival really.
Elayne paid her first visit to the hairdressers today in Albox (English spoken). Her hair was cut by a girl who had moved out here twelve weeks ago from Selby. I have enclosed the ‘before and after’ pictures for you to decide if it was worth €30 (plus pictures of our local goat man who went past this morning, cheerful soul, we see him most days). I, in the mean time, was able to go and explore areas outside Albox for a change. I went on the Baza road upto the Cantoria turn off. I had always assumed that the area was a mass of quarries but it’s is an area that I want to visit and discover more at a later date.
Have a nice week end all.
