It was raining so much this morning that we decided, after attending to the cats, to just go back to bed for an extra hour.
When we did surface it had stopped raining and the temperature was down at fourteen degrees. It felt quite a bit cooler than that so we put our coats on ( for only the first time during the day) and set off for some shopping to Heurcal Overa. We wanted to find a ‘hole in the wall’ so we walked around the old town centre with the umbrella up, found the hole in the wall and then walked around for a while and found it to be a very interesting old town with some splendid architecture. We took photographs even though it was cloudy and wet.
When we got back to the caravan there was a very aggressive weather front going on over to the west of us and another one over in the east whilst we were sat in the middle of the two watching it all develop and then pass on. We seem to be able to do this quite a lot and I suppose it is because of the enormous field of vision that we have up here. As I mentioned the other day we can see about five hundred square miles of land and sea. As I write the weather above us is scudding in from the east, so I think that we should fill everything that needs filling and empty everything that needs emptying, then batten down the hatches, put the gas fire on and spend a cosy evening indoors with a drink, or so, to keep us warm.
