At last I seem to have sorted out my tax with the UK tax office. I have been paying loads of tax ever since I left work so I now hope that I have paid sufficient so that I have paid enough for the year. It sounds a bit selfish but because I am not yet getting state pension and Elayne purloins the Christmas bonus, it leaves me with not much money to spend on tools ;-))
We went to Heurcal Overa this morning shopping (we found the tennis club, but no one to give us any information about it) and as we were driving and losing altitude towards HO, we could see that the lowland valleys had clouds in them. In HO it’s self we were in grey low cloud and it just felt and smelt like a UK winter day although still about 12-14 degrees. We parked up and walked down into the town centre, on the way back to the car we found an urban park type of place with birds, peacocks and one or two rather sad looking, although well fed, animals. Because it was a grey day and the park had loads of trees to keep the summer heat at bay, it was almost a twilight sort of place. As we drove home, stopping at El Rancho’s for a gorgeous lunch of mixed salad, sausage (Spanish style) a plate of chips and a drink, we climbed back out of the cloud again. Back at the caravan it is overcast, raining a bit and slightly windy. The clouds, although grey, are very distinctive.
N.B:
‘We’ have acquired a rather snazzy looking weather station, bought by ’you know who!’ It gives inside and outside temperatures, barometric pressures, weather forecasts, and a percentage likelihood of rain. Quite good ,as it is raining hard and cold right now. Still it will keep himself amusedJ as he can tell what the weather is like without looking out of the window!
PS from Paul. The camera has made adjustment to the weather pictures, the clouds were not quite as dark as that. Good dramatic pictures never the less.
