Wet, cold (12 degrees), this weather cycle continues, need I say more?
We had a good night last night with our friends round here. They brought some food with them and we had a lovely meal, all be it cooked in the caravan. Elayne did a super job and we all ate very well. I had sort of told them that it was too wet to go out to light the bonfire, but after supper and a drink or two, I was out voted. We stood for a good while (after all the rain) in the cold wind waiting for the fire to catch but once it got going it was very lively. Almond wood gives off a nice smell and very good heat. Pam brought some sparklers so the girls flashed them about like demented windmills. Bear in mind that the wood was not at all compact on the fire it still took about an hour to burn out to a state where we could leave it safe. After our fire warming we then came back into the caravan and sat down to a few games of cards. We played ‘Come In’, ‘Chase the Ace’, ’Put and Take’ and ‘Pontoon’ (all games familiar to the Fellowes clan).
Today we have been on the usual shopping trip to Albox and then to Heurcal Overa. At Lidl, in Heurcal Overa, I bought some of those blue tinted head light bulbs, just to try out . It is said that they give out 20% more light than the normal halogen lights. We’ll see tonight when we head off to Taberno at seven o’clock for our dance class.
