Well what an up and down sort of day.
On the building front I’ve seen more movement at a Buddhists Temple than I’ve seen up here today. No steels. No concrete. This morning we did have a lorry arrive that collected a load more shuttering planks. The lorry departed and left one young lad and a shovel to dig out the missing trench. The ground that he was to dig is bedrock for heavens sake.
We left to play tennis around eleven. We collected Allen on the way down to Heurcal Overa so we had a threesome (with Elayne). When we arrived at the sports centre, guess what, it was closed. No notice on the doors about why it was shut. All other businesses went back to work yesterday. We hung around for a little while but to no avail. We went back to Mags and Allen’s house and the weather was so very warm that we had a cup of tea and then we got their table tennis table outside and played several games. Allen of course is very good and walloped me over and over again, however we did have a good laugh and got quite hot whilst we played. Elayne and Mags had a game and then we played boules whilst we had a nice cool drink. It must have been in the mid twenties, which is not too bad for the third of January. Look at some of the super features that Allen and Mags have built around there house including the beautifull, stylish walls and the fabulous jaccuzi and swimming pool, they are both very clever and it's a lovely house inside as well as outside.
We returned to site about three o’clock and found that the trench was indeed dug and finished and the site deserted once more. This wonderful country could be so very rich and prosperous if only it could achieve a higher level of efficiency and had a tax/VAT system that actually worked.
Hey ho. We are told that ‘it may all happen tomorrow’, when ever that is, and of course we believe that don’t we??????
