Another splendid day today after a peaceful night, without wind.
We had builders on site at 08-15hrs this morning. They have to finish off the re-enforcement mesh and then straighten everything out and level it all up in accordance to the plan and in readiness for the architect’s inspection.
We are told that Chema (the architect) will be coming up to site to do this inspection at 16-00hrs today, well we think that it will be today, perhaps, maybe?
Again we are told that if the architect inspection is OK, they will have the concrete up on site tomorrow.
It’s now 15-50hrs and Elayne and I have just returned from shopping in Albox (and having a glorious lunchtime drink and ensalada on the sunny warm terrace at Lentisco’s. It’s a tough life over here, not all beer and skittles, but nearly all!!!
To be fair there has been three lads on site all day working very hard straightening out and leveling the steels. If they could only get another thirty days non stop work they could finish the house altogether. They however do have to leave things to settle and dry at each stage of the construction, so perhaps we revert back to plan ‘A’ again, four to five months.
At six o’clock, when they knock off tonight I will go to ‘my pet’ rock and take more pictures of the progress. This rock is an enormous piece of permanent rock at the back of the site (top). I am going to stand on the rock every day and take a picture so that after the build we can see a sort of time lapse video of the whole build from start to finish in two minutes.
Pictures: Seventeen foot man in the sunset last night. Surise over the mountains this morning at quarter past eight.
