Today is the very first day, since we have been in the caravan, that we have found another occupant living with us. We had noticed that the cats scratted about, on the carpet in the bedroom near the wardrobe, sometimes. Today I spotted a lizard out of the corner of my eye as it scuttled away between the wardrobe and the chest of drawers. We gave chase by looking under the wardrobe with a torch but he then fled around and up the back of the chest of drawers. We took out the bottom drawer of the chest but the damned thing had a back on it. So we removed all the detritus from the area and gently pulled out the chest of drawers. Elayne was standing by with a handkerchief to throw over it, but in the end she caught it with her bare hands (such bravery for someone who screams at poor little spiders. I was impressed). This poor little critter had lost part of it’s tail somewhere, maybe by the cats, so Elayne took it down into the almonds and let it go. We are not sure how long it must have been with us or how long it could have survived. Last night we went up to the Saliente Monastery for dinner. We had planned to do this some time back so we booked up and off we went. The leaflet that we saw said that the restaurant had flamenco on every Saturday night. The impression was that there were flamenco dancers etc. What there was, was a young man playing flamenco music on an acoustic guitar. He was actually very good and it created a nice atmosphere even though the place was not crowded. The food was very good and we enjoyed a three course meal with trimmings and drinks for just less than 25 euros each. The food presentation was good served on some very nice and unusual crockery. The place was gloriously illuminated, you could see it for twenty minutes before we actually arrived. Thank you to our Whiteley friends in the UK for this meal, and the previous ones as well, you have done us very proud. See pictures of the intruder and Saliente.

Hi Andrew
No only one, at the moment, and with a very big solarium on top, that we may in the future extend upwards. Good to see your comments on the blog.
