Today dawned grey, drizzly, and not too warm. It rained enough overnight for us to hear it inside the caravan. First thing this morning we were sat here in a cloud, not being able to see anyone else in the world around us. This feeling was compounded by also not having the builders here (have they not had enough holidays by now?). It’s a typically English winter day, in fact today is exactly the sort of day we came to Spain not to have too many of. We understand from some ‘gloating people’ (no names Mr Pinder) that you are having an unusual Easter heatwave in the UK at the moment and for the next few days, well enjoy it, we will get our revenge sometime soon, maybe, perhaps, we hope.
We went down to Albox this morning to see if the ‘Friends of Almanzora’ library was open, it wasn’t (English voluntary organisation taking Easter Thursday off, how strange?) so, no book exchange. We thought then that we would have some breakfast at the Bar International in Albox and go down to Vera (Bera) to see an electrical goods shop down there. It’s an enormous place right on the front edge of a retail type of park. In the UK, Focus, B&Q etc are open most days of the year and when the population are on holiday, they make the most of it by opening. This huge place was shut as were most of the other retail places, except a supermarket. It seems to be a very hit and miss affair as to whether places open or shut for the week of festivities. All the supermarkets in Albox were shut except some of the smaller UK ones.
We will try again on Saturday or perhaps Monday, things will be back to normal then, including the builders.
We took some photographs of more plants along the wayside as we drove home and back into the clouds once more.

Your house is looking really beautiful. Like classy ship sailing across the bay. Just don't mention Trafalgar!
