It’s half way through April already, is time flying or what?
Being Sunday we had a lazy start today (much to the cats disgust) but then after ‘brunch‘, we set off in the car to explore some of the local camino’s that we pass by when we are on the way to Albox. We have to make a special effort to drive along these tracks, because we are always driving on a mission and we drive straight past them. We drove along one camino and were able to look back at the house and caravan from an unusual angle and from quite a long distance.
We saw and took pictures of lots of lovely wild flowers. Again, they are amazing. What we thought were wild sweet peas are in fact a related family called ‘vetches‘. They seem to be the miniature version of the sweetpea and come in some lovely colours from bright yellow to rich ruby, scarlet and deep mauve.
The weather is very ‘April showery’ with huge black clouds forming, quite heavy rain falling for a while and then ten minutes later it is glorious sunshine once again.
We are going down to Mojacar tomorrow to tax the car, at a designated bank, so that will be out of the way for a year. Next month, or before, we have to put the car through the MOT equivalent, it’s called an ITV here. One books an appointment at the test centres. These centres are government run and tend to be more objective than the UK money printing test centres, so we are told. I will still hold my breath until I see the size of the bill.
