We are having a total ‘slob out’ day today. We’ve hoovered and polished the caravan, inside only of course, this morning. As it is quite a pleasant day, sunny 16-19 degrees, lovely after the winds of recent days, I have got to grips with trying to install a digibox on the monitor of the computer. A while back I bought a bog standard aerial, pointed it at the mast in Huercal Overa and have been able to watch about four or five Spanish TV stations reasonably well on the computer monitor (it makes a change from computing sometimes, some programmes are very interesting, even though they are in Spanish one can usually comprehend what is going on). Yesterday I bought a 50cm satellite dish and a digibox, thinking that perhaps I can get some freeview English channels as well as the Spanish programs. I have spent quite a long time aiming the dish at several of the ASTRA satellites but I have not been able to get a squeak out of any satellites even though I have used a compass and spirit level to aim the dish at the professed angles. I have tried the dish via the digibox and also directly onto the monitor aerial input without success. I then hooked up the digibox to the bog standard aerial and I can now get twenty free to view Spanish programmes. I am typing the blog whilst watching Spain playing Switzerland in the Davis Cup, Spain are five games to two up in the second set and one set up. Forgive me if the blog appears to go backwards and forwards and sometimes shouts.
It appears that no one wants to work on the house today, even after missing a day last week for the wind.
Elayne and I were saying this morning that we appreciate that the house is really moving on at a robust pace, but we are always impatient for them to get onto the next stage. We hope that it all looks OK after all the noise we have made.
BTW Spain have just won the second set.
