We had a steady day today.
First up we visited the internet cafe in Albox to load up the blog, and use their facilities. It was a really nice surprise to receive comments on the blog from our favourite niece, in the UK, Helen. It’s good to know that you can read Helen, the blog that is, ooops ?? (Love to Nigel and Mum and Dad).
We looked for but did not find any DIY type shops open where we could have bought a mattock handle. We will have to wait until tomorrow. Then I’ll be mattocking all over the place.
From there we then went to explore a little village called Santo Petar which is about 6k from Taberno. We were told that there are a couple of good restaurants there where we can have a celebratory dinner out tonight. One year out of work as a cherished citizen. The village is a nice little place, very Spanish with extremes of quality of housing side by side to each other. The hovel one room breeze block shanty type of place with a goat in the dirt yard, next to the modern three bedroom spacious detached house in it’s own plot, as per the ‘come to Spain‘ adverts.
