This morning we downloaded the blog in Albox, loaded up with petrol, for the genny, visited a UK type small supermarket, that sell Marmite and other English delicacies (because we needed a few bits and bats. The Spanish shopping system closes tight shut on Sunday). We then attempted to have a FEB (full English breakfast) at Bar International, but they were also closed. So on the way home we then tried to have a burger and a drink at the Travellers Rest (half way back to Taberno) but they were not open till one o’clock (this being twelve o’clock) so we returned to base via the watering hole and had a box of Pringles feeling that we would probably last out till supper time if we got busy with other things.
The watering hole is a dedicated place in the village where since 1946 the locals have had a facility for washing their clothes and getting water for their domestic needs. The washing area is still used and we saw a woman yesterday washing the family’s clothes. The water runs down from the mountains and is OK to drink except that it has loads of chalk in it so it clogs the kettle etc.
I finished off putting in the cables for the drive way lighting whilst Elayne did women’s things to the caravan.
Today is the very first day, whilst we have been here that I have worn long trousers all day. It’s cloudy fit to rain but no rain so far, in fact the sun has just come out again.
Today’s pictures (seeing that we didn’t have any yesterday) are of the watering hole where mountain water runs and can be collected FOC if required (we still require it because we have not yet wired up the hebe). The other pictures show the inside of the caravan, including the computer room (alias what was the second bedroom).

Dear Paul & Elayne.
Just read your ever fascinating Blog and printed off the 'Treasure Map' - I'm sure it will prove to be a real treasure map in the years to come!
The first thing that caught my eye was the Mimosa. My Dad had a flower shop just before he retired and one of his most favourite flowers was the Mimosa. It has such a brilliant yellow colour and the perfume is absolutely wonderful. Oddly enough, I never see it in the shops these days.
120 Almond trees seems like a lot of Almond Trees! Is there a market for the nuts? No doubt a marzipan factory will follow the hascienda! I guess the Hebe is the water tank and the Potho is the Whatsit.
I have stayed in hotels with names like Camino Real - never suspected it meant rough track!!
45,00 square meters - that's an area about 210 meters by 210 meters. Wow! It must be the size of all the allotments at the side of our house! Or bigger perhaps!
Your caravan seems nice and comfy. Hope you don't burn your knees when operating the monitor thing in the kitchen!
Love from us both.

Hia Mum and Dad, sounds like the architect works to a different sort of timescale to you guys. I thought our moving house was stressful the delays must be so frustrating when you just want to get on with the build.
We have a new computer and have installed skype but can't remember your details, maybe you could email them to me. Remember (if you haven't already thought of it) that you can prepare your emails in advance in notepad in the caravan and then copy and paste at the internet cafe thing ;-)
It's been great to see Nick, who's now disapeared(SP?) for a while but will be back as we have his car 8-)
anyway love to you both from us all and keep your chins ups.
Did I mention we are still in shorts over here ?????
Glad your enjoying the blog. Do you think that we should go into competition with Ordnance Survey on the map front? Were glad that we don´t have to actually dig all 45000 metres of the plot.
Steve
We don´t believe the bit about the shorts. Talk to you soon. We hope to be back on line in a week or so then we can get back on Skype, not available in this internet cafe.
Love from us both

LOL its so true about the shorts...well its warm enough to! Its apparently the longest extended summer on record...we are told to expect 18/19 degrees today....given we are more than half way thru October thats just crazy!
I sent your parcel off yesterday..after telling me in August that I needed to do it in October the postmaster now seems to think it'll just be a couple of weeks!! Oh well it takes some of the pressure off the fat block in the red suit eh?!!

Hi Debs
Trust us to leave England just when it starts to hot up!!!
Rain first thing here, but blue and sunny now, and still warm:)
Thanks for the posting. Must stop pruning almond trees and think about tinsel and baubles.
Speak to you at weekend.
love M&D xxxx
