Date 5-7-2006 Saturday
We had some rain for ten minutes yesterday morning (I nearly forgot) but by eleven we were back to normal although a few clouds stayed around all day. We finished off last night by going to the local for a meal and a few drinks. The meal was simple but very nice and a good crowd were in so it was quite fun with children in the pool and others playing football at the side of the pool.
Whilst I & O were in our pool this morning I went off to Turre and managed to upload some pictures on Blogspot, as you can probably see. I can probably now add one or two pictures per day without much problem. Some feed back please on how long the pictures take to down load at your end would help me to decide on the picture size. I also mastered the use of the Spanish auto car wash at the garage at Mojacar (one stands out of the car to insert the token, after putting the car on it’s mark). I also discovered that our new Spanish bank Cajasur does not open on Saturdays and only opens from eight thirty to two during the week ( a good job what?).
BTW, When we were up at Taberno the other day and as we arrived at the plot we saw what I think was a Griffon Vulture flying overhead together with some other birds. I really must look it up in a Spanish bird book (I’ve seen lots of birds ((topless variety, easy to identify, lost count after I saw 2008)) near the beach but not many in the mountains J ))
In the late afternoon we all went down to Mojacar Playa where we all went in the sea and had a great time jumping and playing in some quite high breakers in the very warm Med.,
We finished the day having supper and a drink at the taverna in El Pinar. All tired out.
